A quick question about book repair. Half the pages in my paperback of The Hanged Men have come loose, they are still in a block & together themselves (if I'm making sense), but they are loose from the cover. What is the best method of sticking them back & what glue should I use?.

i'd be interested to know this as well as my 'death of grass' is loose from its cover in one big block and i'd like to stick it back - although the shape of the spine (of the block) has shifted so this may be impossible...

What is the best method of sticking them back & what glue should I use?. It's very frustrating indeed. I usually just glued them back with Elmer's Glue-All, but the different "blocks" of paper never "dovetailed", causing weird spine leans. Yes, I tried to watch those YouTube videos on how to repair paperbacks, but those esoteric techniques are beyond me. I bet it's a problem facing all of us here! |

Although I did once have 2 vintage hardcover books rebound at a bookbinders as a gift for a family member, for a paperback (being lazy & cheap), I'd just wrap an elastic band around it.
