Going through the BBC iplayer - I typed in horror and came up with a Vincent Price short story/play called Soul Music. You have to suffer through 1 min 50 secs of fluff before the Price of Fear begins. www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b007jn0n/The_Price_of_Fear_Soul_Music/Never listened to the BBC digital channels before - do they often have good stuff like this?

I do believe I've seen some interesting looking stuff before on BBC7 or Radio 7 or whatever it is they call it. But I never remember to check the schedules beforehand so I always miss everything! It does look like it might be worth keeping an eye on though. Will try to remember to check it in future!

I found recordings in MP3 format of the entire Price of Fear series at the Internet Archive (http://www.archive.org/details/radioprograms), but some are poor quality recordings. I understand the BBC are releasing the series on CD shortly. For those who enjoy radio horror, the archive has a huge selection of series, including Inner Sanctum, Dark Fantasy, Weird Circle and so on. There aren't many British, but there are some nice vintage items like Secrets of the Black Museum with Orson Welles, and a South African series called Nightfall from the 1960s. A lot of the stories are adaptations of classic pulp horror.
