The Faceless - Robert Tinnell and Adrian Salmon (Image, 2005) He's Willing To Go To Hell ... So You Won't Have To ...ONCE UPON A TIME IN ENGLAND - 1962.
By day, Terry Sharp is a hard-living, skirt-chasing, celebrated director of classic horror films. But by night, the horror turns real - Terry has discovered a shadowy group of Satanists hell-bent on taking control of the British government. This knowledge has made him a marked man. Black magic or bullets - the Faceless conspirators don't particularly care which - as long as the end result is Terry's death.
Too bad for them, Terry Sharp isn't ready to die just yet - not without taking a whole lot of bad guys with him. That's just the blurb. Check out the trailer and other goodies at: theblackforest.net/terrysharp/ I was gonna put my rotten review here but it's beyond salvation. Might try a revamp or something when I get back from the shops. If anybody's near Sainsbury's, see you there in about 25 minutes, OK?

two years later someone else adds to the thread - i have no idea why this is so neglected, but it deserves more. as mentioned in the pick of the year/pf12 threads somewhere, the talk of this reminded me i'd never got it, and i snapped up the last one on amazon, which became the first book i read in 2010. great stylised art and a mysterious plotline that reads as a set-up for something much, much bigger while still being complete in its own right. great period feel and kinetic drive to the drawing, and some lovely writing to add to it. the references were cool, but didn't obscure the story, which is always a danger. the only disappointing thing is that the follow-up never arrived. where is it? (ps bit harsh on miles malleson in the refs - he was hired to be a buffoon and did it very well - not his fault hammer loved the idea of comic relief...) anyone who missed out like i did should hang their head like me, and buckle down to finally buying this.

Much appreciated Pulp!
We had great plans to follow it up immediately with at least two more books but the economics didn't treat us kindly I'm afraid. The long and short is that I'm working on the continuation of the story right now - in the meantime I'll forward your comments to Bob who will appreciate them I'm sure!
Thanks very much ,
A

well pleased you revived this one, pulps. we had a happening (for us!) The Faceless thread on Vault MK I. Your post prompted me to dig it out, so it's my first read of 2010 as well. Ade, hope you don't mind me posting this scan, but it made me laugh when i dug the book out. Terry Sharp investigates Vault
