Well, it's back again now. Actually, it looks completely different full-size. I thought it was a sort of spotted cartoon alien head (which would sort of matched your nickname). Instead...

It is back!
And, Calenture, that is the image. I have the CD - and it sounds exactly the way the picture looks. Psychobitches Outta Hell is an especially good song.
The musical genre is known as psychobilly.

This morning, I created a new thread - about Peter Haining's The Hell of Mirrors - and composed a long post on the subject. Then, for no reason I could imagine, a strange thing came up about translating it. After that an error message appeared saying that I'm not allowed to create threads on this forum. Now the long post (on which I spent quite a long time) has vanished!! What's going on?

I'm sorry to hear that, red. Has anyone else had this problem? The only reason I can think of a message like that appearing is if you weren't logged in (guest posts are out due to bloody spammers) but why a translation message should come up is beyond me!
No consolation, but for longer posts it's a good idea to write it out in wordpad (or whatever equivalent you use) first. Save it, then cut and paste the content into the message box. That way at least you don't lose it.
I hope you'll post about The Hell Of Mirrors again because that one has a particular fascination for me right now.

I'll have another bash at The Hell of Mirrors - but not tonight!!
Probably create it on Word first - then copy and paste.

A different help! topic: I was going to send someone a personal message - but can't figure out how to do it. If you click on the person's name at the side of a message they've posted, their Personal Bio will appear on screen. There's a "send personal message" message at the top of that. Click that and you get a screen where you can type and send your message to them - just like sending a message to the board itself. Another way is probably to click on "Members" at the top of the board. That should give you a list of members, and you should be able to get into someone's profile and send a PM to them that way too. I case you're wondering, yes, I use a few other forums too (I was moderator on one a while back), so I've got used to how these things work!

Julia and Emotional Abuse are cracking tracks Their main website seems to be out of action but they still have a myspace - www.myspace.com/thehorrorpopsAnyway, how do I get a signature and avatar sorted?

Hi phantomrider, thanks for joining and I hope you have a good time here. The signature's easy enough. Go to Profile/ Modify Profile and scroll down to Signature. For an avitar, you'll need a photobucket account or similar to host the picture and place the image code next to Avitar, again in Modify Profile. Actually, it's easier if I just quote the posting images thread: First, you'll need somewhere to host your pictures: Photobucket and imagecave are two of the most popular, both offer free accounts and are easy to use. For this example, we'll use photobucket, though the principal is the same for both. Now you've got your space, upload some photo's from your desktop! Make sure you own the copyright, like we always do! Now you've uploaded your photo, you'll see four sets of code underneath it. In photobucket, the one you want is IMG CODE. Copy this, save it in notepad or wherever so that it's ready for you to cut and and paste into your post. That's it! PS: I usually centre mine, though it's up to you whether you find that necessary. The code for the chilling photo from Dr. Terror's House Of Horrors (above) looks like this: For the avitar, all you'd need is the direct link to the image which, in this case, would be: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y218/haloofflies/drterror1.jpg
Try not to make it too big or it won't load! Hope this helps!

There are also "ready made" avatars here on the board. Can't remember how I did mine but it was something to do with going to my profile page, finding the appropriate bit which enabled me to choose an avatar, and there it was - the dancing lady from Tales of the Unexpected. ;D
