Just want to say thanks for the forum cause I am sure you all might be able to help me find what I am looking for. I read a book years ago when I was about 15yrs old. It was about this man called Sabbath who fought occult and cults and all that. I think it was the second book in a series of books with him as a central character. I just cannot seem to recall the name of the book at all. In the first chapter (i think  ) it opens up in a house where a group of people are having an orgy and one woman in particular is having sex with a man and he puts a gun in her vagina and pulls the trigger. Umm yeah kinda gruesome but the book was scary as hell and really good. Another bit in the book was where he astral travelled after sleeping and he had an empty room in his apartment that he kept clean in order to carry out spells. Not much more I can recall so please please help me out. Cheers! Isis  |

Could be Guy N. Smith's Sabbat series... There are several GNS experts here so they'll be able to confirm if this is the case.

You know what? I love to read. I love to be terrified. I love to learn no matter how small or seemingly trivial the info is. It is G. N. Smith. All I have to do is find the one that I got back in the mid 80s and that will be it.

It's not SABAT 4 The Druid Connection because I read that recently and no such extreme scene featured.

It's not the first one, and it's definitely not the opening scene of the second as I'm reading it at the mo'. This one seems to be on more of a vampire tip.

There's a scene in the second one involving a syringe gun and a woman's inner thighs, if that's any help. I think there's some out of body stuff as well and Sabat certainly spends a fair bit of time in bed as I remember. Also the cleanliness thing sounds very Sabat, there's something about him being circumcised so that no evil spirits can manifest themselves under his foreskin. No, really...
