OK, here's a few I read back in the day but can't quite pin down. One was set in Snowdonia, this bloke's there with his dog working on a hydroelectric dam, but all sorts of nutso pagan stuff is going on with some village idiot bloke called Dewy and local witch woman who the hero gives a good shagging. Any ideas?
Number 2: Kids book (maybe a puffin) of weird and eerie tales, cover of which was this woman flying a kite, only the kite's a bloke with butterfly wings sort of floating about on a lead?
Number 3: (And I LOVED this book when I was 10!). Bleak dystopian future thing called, I think 'No Man's Land' but can't remember name of author. This kid lives near the coast where he befriends an old guy 'the general' who is some sort of caretaker for a historical landmark, this old castle. But nasty soulless authorities are into demolishing such things to make way for huge tracts of factory farm, to which purpose they've come up with this huge robot called 'Giant'. Any idea of publisher/author?

Ok, I've sussed out no3. It's No Man's Land by Simon Watson. Picked it up via ebay and it's still brilliant. Genius book.

I'm not sure of the exact anthology on number 2, but I'm pretty sure the story depicted is a Ray Bradbury, Uncle Einar.
