Edward Jervis - Pestilence. I think I need to stay away from ebid, proving to turn up too many good things Edit: Just bought The Beast Of Kane & The Devil's Kiss on there too, the site is certainly dangerous, in a good way Further Edit: Bought Copies of Michael Strong - The Wolves Came Down From The Mountain (a Hamlyn I hadn't heard of) & John Halkin - The Unholy. Ok I'll stop now (at least that's what I'm telling myself)

Down at me Mum's, have had a particularly good haul from the brilliant second-hand bookshop here. Well chuffed:
Robert Adams - The Horseclans 3 (Futura) Dirty Harry No 2: Death On The Docks - Dane Hartman (NEL) GNS - Warhead (NEL) GNS - Doomflight (Hamlyn) Neil Hunter - Bodie The Stalker 3 (Star) 'Arthur Frazier' - Wolf's Head 5 & 6 (NEL...stoked about these) GNS - Snakes (NEL) James Montague - Worms (Futura) GNS - Manitou Doll (Hamlyn) Kill-Town: A Novel Of Violence - Richard Stark (Coronet) Sergeant Death - James Mayo (Pan) Pan 21 The Son Of The Werewolf - GNS (NEL, looks unread!)
Expanded the GNS collection, and some other gems. All that for less than £15 too. There was loads of other decent stuff there that I would have taken a chance with had there not been so much choice.
Few days ago I managed to get loads of 'Executioner', 'Able Team' and 'Phoenix Force' books too...lovely job

Blimey - some fantastic hauls there. HP - look forward to some reviews. Jonny - congrats on the Bride hardback - at the right price too! Bush - would be interested in your view on the Dirty Harry book. I've read No 5 Family Skeletons which was a lot better than I thought it would be. Interesting interview with one of the Harry writers www.the-dirtiest.com/ric.htm

I went into London at the weekend and picked up the following in a 2nd hand bookshop:-
The Rage - Jack Ramsay Ghoul - Mark Ronson
I also went to the Cinema Store and picked up:-
Zombie Holocaust - David Flint
I haven't read it all yet but so far I must say it's pretty good, it's an overview of Zombies in popular culture, it covers movies, computer games, comics and TV (it features Dead Set so it's right up to date) but of special interest to people on this board there's a chapter on books, Peter Tremaynes' Zombie gets a bit of coverage as well as John Russo, Max Brooks, Brian Keene and the Mammoth Book of Zombies, recommended!.

I'm curious here, Johnny, as I come from the West Country originally. Are all these stories ones with some kind of West Country setting, or are they by West Country authors, or what? That part of the country is famous for some strange places - eg. Stonehenge, etc.

Ah, thanks Johnny. That's a bit further west (and further south) than I was. Sounds good though. Cornwall's a pretty spooky county too! ;D
