 Tim WhiteI was very taken with this guys work for a series of Grafton paperbacks in the 'eighties: the H. P. Lovecraft Omnibus. There were three of them, four if you include the Ramsey Campbell edited New Tales Of The Cthulhu Mythos, all looking slick and uniform. Lovecraft's had more paperbacks devoted to his stories than many, and sometimes, to my way of thinking at least, the cover artwork has been ... well, did they want me to buy the bloody book or not? I thought it was one of the best cover paintings I'd ever seen at the time and it still impresses today. Hadn't seen that one.
I do have the original in an Arkham hardback but have never seen that paperback.
