looking for a british post apocalypse book that i have read but don't seem to have any more.
i remember it was published by vintage and had a purply cover witht he shadow of a man running.
it was about an ex spec ops soldier who has gathered some survivors to him at his farm house, and i remember a scene from the end where the main charcter faces off against his former military team mates in the thames valley with 'statue like' bodies of bomb victims..
i read it in the late 90's but guess it had been published a lot earlier. i think there was a foreward talking about what a classic it was...
wondering if anyone else knows it?? i'd like to give it another go if i can find a copy. on a bit of a PA marathon at present having finished 'the death of grass' nd am half way through 'swan song' - probably 'day of the triffids' and 'the road' again afterwards.
