Definately worth a look-in though.

Interestingly, the 1964 Consul edition of Half in Shadow has seven stories in common with this edition and seven different ones:

I had the AH edition and have the UK paperback and never even noticed. I don't know if that says more about the stories or my lack of intelligence! :-(

I don't know if that says more about the stories or my lack of intelligence! :-( With a couple of exceptions (the stunt story "The Three Marked Pennies" and the oddball "The Black Stone Statue"), the stories are all the same brand of polite, old-school Southern supernatural fiction. So it's probably her, not you!
