Have been trying to drum up a few interviews for The fanatic with mixedresults. Thought I'd share them as a fascinating (?) insight to the perils of my hobby.
Bob Habberfield- artist behind those truly mental Moorcock covers for Mayflower in the late 1960s/70s. The ones with the eastern gods and psychedelic symbolism. Very nice guy, but unfortunately doesn't like to talk about his commercial work these days.
Artist whose identity was remain a secret- has agreed to an interview but pointed out parts of his brain are missing and asked if there's any money in it for him!
Mark Howell- who worked iwth laurence james and Peter Haining at NEL in the 1970s has agreed to an interview. Big thanks to Franklin fro tracking down Mr Howell and helping me cajole Mark into answering some questions.
Dot Lumley- also worked as an editor at NEL in the 1970s, with Guy Smith dedicating a book to her. Watch this space.
More to follow...

Thought I'd share them as a fascinating (?) insight to the perils of my hobby. It's a fascinating hobby, though, isn't it, Justin? I love doing my interviews. So far my interviewees have fallen into two groups: 1) Very pleasant, willing and happy to be interviewed OR 2) No response whatsoever - they just totally ignore my communications! I wish those in group 2 would actually have the guts to say "No, sorry, but ...". I think it's extremely rude to just completely ignore a request like that.
