Congratulations, lynnie. Quite an achievement these days as the later ones in particular seem to be very thin on the ground. I'm still a whopping eight light of a full set and now i'm going to cry.

I now have the complete set of Pan horrors 1 - 30, I am very happy indeed and have mentioned it to family and colleagues who don't seem to share my joy, so I just thought I'd tell you all as I'm sure you'll be happy for me Congratulations! If it's any comfort (or even if it's not) I doubt whether the attitude of my family and colleagues would be much different from yours. Do they all have their original cover designs? There seems to a law with Pan Horrors that, whenever the covers were changed, it was for something less good. ;D

I suspect I'm not the only one who had to bow to parental pressure as a kid to 'chuck out all that rubbish that's taking up space and besides you're far too old for it'. Into the bin went issues 1-55 of 2000AD, the entire print run of StarLord, all my Pocket Chiller Libraries (featuring comic strips far nastier than anything in EC, God how I loved them, and God how little my parents realised what was in them) and all my Dr Who books. I must have been about 11. Some people wax lyrical about a lost love or a faithful pet but I'd love to have me pocket chillers back.
But I hung onto my full set of Pans. In fact I'm looking at them now, nestling on the shelf beneath my full set of Fantasy Masterworks.
Tiny insight into my past over. Sorry for the interruption

So you never found that elusive no 31 then?
Only kidding. Congratulations.

Not sure if they're all original covers but I do have a couple of doublers which had different covers (I think) I'm so glad I bought the 30th book when it was out as it would cost a bloody fortune now! Also managed to finish the Dark Terrors set, couldn't find 5th book for a long time, got it in a second hand book stall a month ago and now I find e-bay finally has a reasonably priced one - Sods Law

Quite a few Pan Horror volumes have passed through my hands at various times - but I'm currently 25 volumes shy of a full set.

My first post on this wonderful site. I'm a proud owner of all 30 Pan Horrors, plus 1-7 Pan Ghosts (is that it or are there more?), the full set of Fontana horrors and I'm only missing 1 of the Fontana Ghost series (number 18).
Great site btw.

hello matt I don't know if you'll be disappointed or pleased about this but you still have some volumes of The Ghost Book's to look out for as there were 13 in all. Rosemary Timperley edited numbers 8 and 9, Aiden Chambers did 10 and 11, Polly Parkin did 12 and James Hale finished the job with 13. The contents of the last four were spread over two volumes of The Bumper Book of Ghost Stories as well! Hope you enjoy yourself here. Have fun!

Hello Matt and welcome aboard - I only joined last week and I haven't shut up since. I note your username with interest..... are your football allegiances with a certain North London club? Mine are, and I'm hiding on this site as we are currently being beaten by Aston Villa...............
Enviable book collection you have there by the way!

Quite chuffed that I have a few more to track down actually. It will mean new stuff to read when I finally get my hands on them. Thanks!
