Has this guy had any novels published? Just been reading about him in another section here and really fancy giving him a read, although I don't want to go to the palava of hunting down old editions of World of Horror monthly, and also prefer novels to short stories. I've also seen his biblography here, and noticed his unpublished novels.
Anything to go on would be appreciated.

David is a member here so I suppose calling him 'this guy' looks a little strange. I would suggest checking www.rileybooks.co.uk/

I just meant it looked a little odd to me.
Welcome to the Vault.

"I've never heard of him before, sorry if that fact offends him!" Most people haven't, Billy, and it doesn't. I would be a strange, miserable sod if it did! As Craig said, welcome to the Vault. David

Hi Billy. Seeing as he's too modest to direct you there himself, here's Mr. Riley's BibliographyWhat's the state of play with The Lurkers At The Abyss collection from Midnight House, David?

"What's the state of play with The Lurkers At The Abyss collection from Midnight House, David?"
There have been some delays, mainly because John Pelan has relocated from Seattle to New Mexico - which is quite a massive move.
The last I heard from him it is scheduled for some time this year, but just when I don't know.
His next book is a collection of Joseph Payne Brennan stories, The Feaster From Afar.
After this has come out, it shouldn't be too long before mine appears. Hopefully. I think in the publishing world, patience is definitely a virtue.

Ooo, that's good to know that you do have a collection of short stories which I hope will soon see the light of day, David. I was actually thinking after Billy's post that it would be nice to see some of your stories all together in one place. ;D

David Sorry if that particular comment came over a bit harsh in any way, David. And sorry, Craig, if it seemed like I was snapping. It's very difficult to ascertain a person's tone in forums. Also, Demonic, I did say in my original post I'd been looking through his bibliography, but thanks for the link anyway. So, back to the point. What access can I get to your novels, David? I really don't like reading from a monitor, especially anything even approaching novel length.

There is only one so far actually available from Renaissance E-Books online. The other, after two years, still hasn't appeared. I'm afraid I don't know of any other way to access it than through the various alternatives available through Renaissance E-Books. I must admit I agree with you, that reading a novel onscreen is not something I would do by choice. In retrospect I regret having been persuaded some time ago to take the e-book road with these two, though I was feeling fairly discouraged with mainstream publishers at that time, especially after one had held on to Goblin Mire for well over twelve months before giving the thumbs down. That kind of timescale, by the way, is neither unusual in practice nor, necessarily, the worst. However, after tried e-books, I certainly won't be aiming any further novels in that direction in the future. Not only is it a very, very poor alternative at the moment, but the cover given Goblin Mire must be one of the worst ever! I have completed two more novels since I seriously started writing again just over two years ago, with a third (a crime novel) about one third done. They all need a bit of rewriting yet, polishing, etc., but I have some serious hopes with these. All are much better than my earlier ones. The first I completed, Into the Dark, involves a serial killer and vampirism (nothing even remotely glamorous, though, or romantic about the vampirism in this - far from it!), the second is slightly Lovecraftian, at the moment tentatively called The Return. The one I'm still working on is called George and Glenda. David

Billy,
regarding being apparently offensive. I know what you mean. For some reason forum talk is far worse than other things for producing problems of ambiguity. Its a pain in the butt.
On the vault, for some reason, there is far less ambiguity or far nicer people (except Dem who is a misguided tyrant - dont' mention SF)
