VILLAGE OF BLOOD by Ian Dear - Nel , 1975.
' The scene - England , an isolated country village.'
' The Action - A body is mysteriously ripped from it's coffin. '
CUT...
Anvil Pictures are shooting a new horror picture - suddenly reality begins to reflect the script as folks disappear from the local village ... drained of blood. Ann Green , a fiesty journo makes it her business to find out what's going on. Add on a wild animal park and surely we've got another Nel classic on our hands...
Re reading my thoughts on this - I come across as less than impressed after so much promise. Ian Dear's basic plot line style didn't work for me especially - though just typing this makes me want to give it another go. I've a fondness for this though - I think the cover's a blinder and it was the first horror book from Nel I sought out when joining this group.
