OK glam fans, I just remembered I existed: Great moments from latter-day GLAM: I ♥ Top 10 Pop PrincessesSmiley Kylie: Miss Minogue enjoys a celebratory tipple because she won.... So there was this Top 10 Pop Princesses thing on C4 hosted by Betty Boo and Cerys Matthews, but they didn't know what they were talking about because Sheena Easton made the cut - and Brix E. Smith didn't which just goes to show how flair is punished, etc. No Siouxsie. No Katie-Jane Garside. No Gitane Demone. No Gaye Advert. No Niagara out of Destroy All Monsters. No Patricia Morrison. I could go on, but it's too depressing. Kylie's hot-pants trounced all comers which is fair enough, but how comes Kate Bush was only number 4? Even Lulu finished above her and she was responsible for Boom Bang A Bang and Congratulations or was that Sandy Shaw? I'm not sure about this because I went a bit comatose after reliving the nightmare that was Sheena, but I think Kim Wilde and Lulu came second and third. It was all very throwaway, patented C4 annoying mega-smug voice-overs, etc., but some terrif footage. Britney might have been 4th (relegating Kate to fifth) and - I think - Debbie Gibson, Sade, Suzi Quatro, and Tiffany made up the rest. ... while 'Death and the Maiden' Kate wrestles with her inner demons and everything because she didn't. Well we're Vault so we're duty bound to set the record straight. Who are the REAL top ten pop princesses? Your nominations, please. And if anyone says "a Spice Girl" or Paris Hilton, I swear I'll scream.

Wot no Debbie Harry? It's an outrage! I see you've already mentioned Siouxsie and Gaye, which leaves ...erm...Poly Styrene. Let's move on. Obscurity corner - Nina Spencer from Manufactured Romance! And there was always something about Nico. I'm straying not only from 'Pop' but also 'Princesses' here. Howzabout Poison Ivy Rorshach from The Cramps? When I saw them circa '86 I think they had a mohicaned female guitarist in a bikini - I hope Phantomrider can confirm this. Wendy O Williams? No way!

Have I mentioned I saw Kylie live? (because the Mrs and Stepdaughter wanted to go - nothing to do with me) and was pleasantly surprised at an unexpected Clockwork Orange tribute in the middle of the show?

Good grief, I only just noticed this. How many Debbie Harry photos do you think Dem will let us get away with?
