I'm pretty sure I read this story in one of the Fontana Horrors, and it's always stuck in my mind as I found it genuinely disturbing, but I can't think what it was called or who it was by. Basically, the narrator has a small, meek friend who marries a beautiful but very large woman, and as time goes on he keeps getting smaller and she gets bigger until he disappears completely. Eventually, and very weirdly, it turns out that they're a humanoid species of angler fish, and he's become attached to her back. Eventually they swim off together. Any help?
