Was the story with the guy in the wheelchair feeding himself to the birds out of paper bags just called "The Birds"?
What was the name of that story about the little girl whose grandmother in the final paragraphs says she'll stain her face and do things to her to make her look beautiful like grandma. Mummy had run off with some bloke I think and the kid tried to climb the high garden wall.
Was the Turn of the Screw ever in Pan Horror?
Sorry if this is like asking central computer to count my fingers.

Hi Craig
That's Lindsay Stewart's 'Strictly for the Birds' from Pan 9
No
Yes in Pan 4
Can't help you with question 2 I'm afraid, although there's a Charles Birkin story where an old lady ends up slashing a little girl's throat

Thanks John. To expand on the little girl. It was a very short story. The grandmother said something which implied that the mother had gone out with some bad man and disobeyed her. She showed her face in the mirror at one point.
I get the feeling it might not have been a great story but it was definitely horrible to me at the time.

Thanks fm., Much appreciated. I think i have it somewhere buried in an anthology. The reason I was asking was because Johnnie had asked what were my favourite Pan Horror stories. I couldn't remember some of the titles. I've got it somewhere....
