Does anyone still have a copy of The Owl Service by Alan Garner that they would consider sending my way?

Forgive me rolling around and laughing at this Coral. It slightly reminded me of these moments when you are talking on mobile phones saying 'where are you' and then you see the person wave from half a yard away.'

Thinks for triggering that memory. Read this book over 30 years ago. I bought it because the cover had a painting of a girl which resembled someone I knew.

The really pretty wonderful television adaptation of this has come out on DVD recently. Well worth checking out, even if it's just to be amazed at the kind of complex, intelligent, risky storytelling they used to be able to get away with in a childrens' programme.
