Edward Groff Conklin (September 6, 1904 – July 19, 1968) was an American science fiction anthologist. Apparently he came to the genre late in life. He edited 40 anthologies, at least one of which was over 700 pages. he was also the book reviewer for Galaxy Science Fiction for five years, from October 1950 to October 1955. The column was called "Galaxy's Five-Star Shelf". Here is a taster. Found on Internet Archive. Full issue here: archive.org/details/Galaxy_v01n02_1950-11/mode/2up
