James Herbert - Once (Macmillan UK, 2001, hc, 470 pages, this edition Pan, 2002, 471 pages) Apologies for the bad photo of page 2, hard to shoot without ruining the copy. At the time they didn't do the enhanced cover often any longer.
Never read this, but considering the whining about the "bad sex scenes" on Goodreads - I often wonder how a "good sex scene" is supposed to read when I see this complaint - Herbert must be here up to form. At least in this department. The Faery and all its elements is such a done to death topic that it will be interesting to see what Herbert did with this.

I often wonder how a "good sex scene" is supposed to read when I see this complaint A friend of mine once asked Alex Garland, author of the bestselling THE BEACH, why there are no sex scenes in the novel. "Is there something wrong with you?"
