Not necessarily 'for kids' per se, but it was published by Scholastic, and it was this particular edition (probably the least evocative art of any of them) that I encountered Poe as the first time as a grade schooler. I remember "Hop-Frog" scared the hell out of me. "The Imp of the Perverse" left quite an impression on me; I've always thought it should get more love than it does, and I'm impressed by the editor who decided it should go there in place of, say, "The Tell-Tale Heart."
