Now this looks terrific ... "Coming to Amazon in February..." Back cover blurb suggests Justin has supplemented the contents of issues Pulp Horror 1-3 with material from as far back as 2006's Pulp Mania! and early issues of Paperback Fanatic. More details as and when we receive them.

Here's the toc for The Collected Pulp Horror (Vols 1-3) due in around a fortnight. Note the bonus material. The Michel Parry and Guy N. Smith interviews are revived from Pulp Mania! (aka, Paperback Fanatic #1), the Robert E. Lory is from Paperback Fanatic #4. I'm delighted Justin is exhuming these super feature length pieces - there is so much brilliant material buried in those early, hard-to-get issues. Perhaps later along the line a reprint of the career-spanning interview with Peter Haining from PF #6)?

I'm particularly looking forward to the articles about Strange Tales and William Hope Hodgson, along with the Robert Lory interview.

Perhaps Mr. Brewer will confirm, but at £4.99 for what amounts to an omnibus edition with bonus material, I would imagine it's b/w (the originals volumes were colour, though the interviews were b/w)

Mine’s all in black and white, which I think is fair given the price (around $6US).

Arrived this morning. Oversized paperback, 130 b/w pages - not quite the entire contents of issues 1-3, but a generous selection of highlights of highlights and, of course, bonus revivals from way back in Paperback Fanatic's formative, word-of-mouth years. Gather the book is doing well which is heartening. Am especially pleased to see the lively and informative interviews with Michel Parry, Robert E. Lory and Guy N. Smith made available to a wider audience (as mentioned above, there's an abundance of material in early PF's deserving of exhumation). Have just spent a pleasant hour revisiting these. Can only echo Justin's sentiments re Michel: he was supportive of this forum from the off, even invited me along to a Paperback & Pulp Fair, as he reckoned it would be our thing (he wasn't wrong!). Had some wonderful times in that man's company and feel blessed to have known him. Robert Lory likewise a treasure. Not had many dealings with Guy but remember Franklin had a great time with him around same time as aforementioned Pulp Fair. Anyway. Here's the original threads for issues 1-3 - with missing scans replaced - while I try think of something new to say about the contents. Pulp Horror #1Pulp Horror #2Pulp Horror #3Thanks, Justin!

Received this book this morning. Fantastic so far, I'm currently on the Michael Parry interview.
This book is going to cost me a fortune in tracking down some of these titles, lol.
