There was some great books around during the late 70s - early 80s for kids, at school we had a book club every month and I would pick something spooky from the catalogue. Now I look for these old books on car boot sales and in charity shops and I still get excited about finding them. I get that same thrill whenever one of these turns up at the market, appreciate them a whole lot more now than I did as a kid when they passed me by ("i'm not reading KID's stuff!"). One day we'll attempt comprehensive listings of Armada, Puffin, Beaver, Magnet, etc., publications of the sixties through to the mid-'eighties.
