The title seems to echo Cohen's famous song ripped off some Frenchman I can't remember. Les Partisan? The Strange Drug of Dr Caber Lord Dunsany, The Army of Shadows Eric Ambler, Somewhere in France Richard Harding Davis The Traitor W.
