Been asked about a werewolf novel. This is the info I have:
Bought 2nd hand circa 1984. Sounds like it was about 200 or so pages. The cover is a painting of 'a really creepy wolf with a human hand (i.e. the wolf was holding out its paw, which was actually a human hand)' 'and i seem to recall that the hand had red nail polish! i think there was a character in the book called Lupita, and i think the book contained fairly hardcore porn.'
Can anyone identify it?

This probably doesn't help but Gary Brandner's THE HOWLING III: ECHOES has a lady werewolf called Lupe turn up towards the end just for a gratuitous sex chapter.
And I can remember that from when I read it at age 15 ;->

Thanks, John. It fits the time period, although I can't find a cover that's similar, I'll pass your suggestion on to my friend.
