well, hello all
very pleased to have found this thread since I have rediscovered the lost art of reading...
like most of you probably did...I spent the majority of my schooldays (in the 80s) engrossed within the works of James Herbert, Sven Hassel, Graham Masterton and Gary Brander....
However....with the video revolution...I began collecting horror films and eventually boot-faired off my huge collection of pulp horror novels.
I started comuting in 2008...with nearly 2 hours on a train a day...I found myself outside a Charing Cross book shop and brought myself a book.
Can't put the blasted things down now and having great fun catching up on what I've been missing.
I look forward to corresponding with you all
Tristan

Welcome aboard. This is an incredible site filled with lovely people. For various reasons (usually unemployment or my degree course) I quite often vanish off the boards for months on end and just wander back in with the same ease as if I had just popped out for a pint of milk.
Have fun
Colin ('Luke')

Hi Tristan,
Sven Hassel, a name to conjure with.

From another ninja visitor (currently rather more occupied as a school governor and editing an ebook than expected), welcome to the board; you'll love it here, but your wallet won't, they keep on showing you lovely, lovely things you will need to buy.
