[a href=" "] [/a] THE SIX O'CLOCK BUS - A Guide to Armageddon and the New Age by Moira Timms It's six o'clock, the year is 1979, you have just had your wholemeal scone and organic muesli for breakfast. Unfortunately the world's nearly finished and there might not be time for herbal tea. Timm's preface begins 'What you are about to read is a book about the true nature of things' and the first chapter starts with a brief cosmic primer but swiftly moves to 'The Laws of Mentalism'. One might feel more convinced about the imminence of Armageddon if Uri Geller wasn't immediately put forward as the man who astounded us by 'showing what can be done with the mind' rather than showing us what can be done with the gullible. I hasten to add I quite like Uri Geller and at the time I was as convinced as anyone that I could bend spoons with my mind if I practiced a bit; mind you, I was about twelve at the time. It's a well illustrated tome that draws a lot of New Age stuff together in a readable format and manages to maintain an optimistic tone about the destruction of the planet.
