Hello, I was Googling "Borgia Pomade" to find out who it was by, and got a link to the stories of M P Dare on this site.
I had a little look around and saw snippets about various authors that I hadn't read in a long time, and pictures of various book jackets that I haven't seen in a long time.
This seems like the kind of place where I would fit in and maybe even contribute.
I am a lover of ghost and horror stories, not just British ones. Lovecraft is my main passion, but of the British writers in the genre I love E F Benson, Arthur Machen, R Chetwynd Hayes, Ramsey Campbell, and H R Wakefield.
When younger I had a major passion for Peter Saxon and Raymond Giles; whereas my love for John Gordon's two young adult novels has never waned.
My pet hates? Robert Aickman and Dennis Wheatley.

Hello Morgan, Nice to see you here, this is a good forum to hang out in. There are lost of interesting threads in the archives, but if you ahven't found it yet, then right at the botttom of the main page there is a link to the 30 most recent posts. This is the easiest way to keep up with the most active threads (this might be obvious to most people but it took me a couple of weeks to notice it). Morgan hasn't mentioned it, but she has recorded a number of horror (and other) stories for Librivox , notably tales by HPL. For anyone who doesn't know Librivox is a website where public domain works can be downloaded as free audio versions recorded by volunteer readers. Librivox can be found here: librivox.org/- Chris BTW Morgan, I just searched Librivox using "morganscorpion" and it pulled up a number of your projects but not the HPL stuff, some of which I know I've downloaded in the past: are these under a different reader name, or were they not hosted by Librivox? (Oliver Onions "the Beckoning Fair One", did however show up)

There are also many Lovecraft readings there, though none by me. My Lovecraft recordings are hosted at the Internet Archive, along with several recordings by other readers. Also at the Internet Archive you will find episodes of old time radio programmes, some dating back to the 1930's which have horror, thriller or supernatural themes. Thanks for the plug.

Hi Morgan, You are welcome. I have downoaded and listened to anumber of the HPL files in the past and I hadn't realised that they were not hosted on Librivox (doh!). In fcat "Internet Archive" didn't ring a bell with me at all and I was quite surprised that a chick goodle brought up the correct site as the #1 hit. Ok, Morgan's HPL stuff can be found at: www.archive.org/search.php?query=morganscorpion - Chris
