I've waited years in the hope I'd see this film and some genius has finally uploaded it onto You-tube. Friends, I urge you all to join me in watching this Bruno Mattei superpulp-megatrash classic. As far as I know this is the only way you'll see it. Get it while it's hot... since I doubt it'll be up there for long (this is pt 1, double click on it to go straight to You-tube for the other parts) Think of it as Samcon rather than Fcon Mark S.

Ah, yes, the incredibly bad "Strike Commando." It surely deserves a dvd release purely for the sheer goofiness of the film. I see that there are a few VHS copies on Amazon UK and maybe it will turn up on Ebay as well. I used to have a VHS copy, but the tape snagged in my VCR and I had to bin it. The fight scene at the end of the movie with the Soviet bad guy was laugh out loud funny. There was also a "Strike Commando 2" though I never managed to see it. If "Strike Commando" is your kind of thing check out "American Commandos," "Cobra Mission," "Codename: Wildgeese," "Commando Leopard," "The Commander," "Ultimax Force," "The Violent Breed" and a whole host of other bad 1980s mostly italian war movies. You'll see actors like Christopher Mitchum (Robert's son), Lewis Collins, Lee Van Cleef, Klaus Kinski, Henry Silva and Woody Strode. A few are on dvd, though many only languish in 1980s big box VHS purgatory.

Where you could see Lewis Collins´career going down the toilet. I watched it at the time in the cinema - Collins was kind of a star on this side of the channel thanks to his role on The Professionals so it got the big screen treatment - and it was so terrible. A friend of mine always maintained - back then - that Collins would have made a good James Bond. (And Michael Ironside a terrific Wolverine. I am a big fan of Ironside since Scanners and shared his opinion.) I also dimly remember that at the time of the release of this movie Klaus Kinski was doing promotion on german tv, in one of those daily magazine shows. Either he was stoned or drunk - probably both - and babbled the whole time about the terrific stuntwork of those phillipine stunmen while the exasperated showhost tried to steer him back on course. It was a riot.

Just got to the bit where Disney is heaven and Mickey Mouse appears to be Jesus or something similar. Fantastic stuff.

Good call Mark! I saw the trailer for this a few years ago and it took me a while to track it down, finally got the American VHS. It's awesome. The 'head-clash' scene between Reb Brown and the Russian baddie is priceless, as is Reb Brown's grief when his little native pal cops it... One of Bruno's best. There is a sequel that I managed to download which is OK but not as 'good'. If you like THAT, then do yourself a favour and watch this...the whole thing on youtube in one part: www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXX8w0PJQUk&ob=av1e&has_verified=1IMDB link here: www.imdb.com/title/tt0084573/'Raw Force' aka 'Kung Fu Cannibals' starring a very pissed Cameron Mitchell...please, just trust me on this, I can't do it justice...staggering stuff

I *think* he was deemed too short - I know he was up for the part and met Cubby et al.

Mark, I've seen the whole film now. Reb Brown is now my hero. I want to be like him when I grow up.
