I just thought I'd post up that the Edge westerns are going digital and will be available as E-Books. Book 1, Edge the Loner is already up at Smashwords, a well known ebook provider. www.smashwords.com/books/view/22328Good to see that Terry Harknett, ie: George G. Gilman novels will be in circulation for a new generation of readers. Cheers: Jaq.

Which reminds me I'm 3/4 through The Loner - I think I left it in the car door weeks ago!

It is surprisingly good. Fan service to the max with countless details from the books, truly gory and excessesly violent. It could have worked better in places and sometimes was a bit farcial in the relentless action, but as a longtime reader and fan I enjoyed it. The villain is named Harknett. What's not to love?
Is it truly the case that the Amazon Pilotseaon is not avaiable in the UK? I checked the overwhelmingly positive comments on the Amazon pages in the US and in Germany and was surprised that I couldn't find it in the UK.

I had a look on the Amazon UK site. I typed in 'Edge' and searched under 'Amazon Videos' and there was an entry for 'Edge: The Loner' and rated as a 15 certificate. I didn't try to play it as I do not have Amazon Prime and I assume you need that to view it. It does seem to have had a very positive response so I hope it is picked up--if so perhaps it will appear on DVD as well as being available online.

The pilots are free to watch. I don't know if you even need an Amazon customer account. Somehow they have to lure customers to upgrade to Prime.

Thanks, Andy. If they are free then I will most probably give it a go. I am always wary of clicking buttons on Amazon just in case I accidentally manage to sign up to something :-).
