Good luck to John Probert who will be receiving the 'Children Of The Night Award' for The Faculty of Terror at the dreaded Dracula Society's AGM tomorrow night (10th)!

Yikes! ;D
Good luck, Lord Probert!
(I'm sure he'll charm the pants off them)

We could always send out prayers for him, in which case I'd better start off with 20 "Aiee Shub-Nigguraths".

Have a good night, Lord P.
Something else to add to the Vault calender is that today would also be Screaming Lord Sutch's birthday. There's a festival in his honour this weekend in Llanwrtyd Wells.
And I see it's Pulphack's b'day, too. Have a good one, Andy.

Ah yes - thank you to everyone.
I have to say I had a really nice evening - a pleasant, cosy venue in Holborn, and as much free wine as I could drink (which was quite a lot). The members of the society were all very nice, and quite obviously very serious in their love of gothic literature, and Dracula in particular. The award is absolutely charming and balances humour and horror beautifully. There should be some pictures going up on the Gray Friar Press website. I gave a short (for me) speech which seemed to go down well, even though I rounded it off with a fairly shameless plug for my next books. I suspect they were distracted by my usual practice of waving my arms about to distract people from what I'm saying.

Look forward to seeing the pictures.
Glad everything went well.
That was quite an accolade - and well deserved.

Very glad it went well for you John and congratulations on the award.
I hadn't realised they'd relocated the events to Holborn. The Princess Louise or The Devereaux by any chance?

That jacket is seriously to die for, likewise the trophy. Now I've seen it, I'd say your description above is deadly accurate. Impossibly cute.

I hope the Society were suitably impressed.
