Hi, all. I wanted to announce the release of And Midnight Never Come, a brand new Hugh Lamb anthology. As some of you may know, after my father's passing in 2019 I set about republishing a couple of his older anthologies, Victorian Tales of Terror and Terror by Gaslight. Both were well received, and I got to thinking that maybe the next step was to put together something new. Dad left behind a lot of paperwork. Among all this was a collection of unused stories as well as lists of possible anthology ideas. Using this material as a starting point I set about creating And Midnight Never Come. There are stories that dad had intended for future anthologies, and there are some that I selected myself during the hours of research. I had an absolute blast putting this together and hope that you enjoy it, too! By the way, Vault of Evil gets a nod in my acknowledgements. Well deserved. I love it here. It's currently available on Amazon as a paperback, with the Kindle version on pre-order and available on Halloween 2021. Find it right here.

And Midnight Never Come brings you 20 haunting tales from the Victorian and Edwardian heyday of supernatural fiction. Hugh Lamb was one of the world's leading anthologists of vintage macabre. During his long career he unearthed a host of little-known authors and also brought to light lost works from the more well-known. When he passed away in 2019, Hugh left behind a collection of unused stories and unpublished anthology ideas. Using this material as a starting point, Hugh's son Richard has compiled And Midnight Never Come , the first brand new Hugh Lamb anthology for 30 years. Delve, if you dare, into this unique age of ghosts, monsters, killers and fog-enshrouded chills.

A genre book with real artwork on the cover. Has hell finally frozen over?
Great work!

What wonderful news. Congratulations, Richardd, and well done. Your father's anthologies introduced me to so many authors of whom I was unfamiliar. This new collection looks great, and is a definite must-have for me.

I didn't realise when I started doing the work on the previous republished books just how much I was going to enjoy it. It must be in the genes, I guess. Putting this one out is both thrilling and a little scary. Cover art and web design is pretty much my living, so I was at least confident about that side of it!

Along with Ron Weighell's novel "King Satyr", this is the best news of current book season.
