Princess, how nice to see you back so soon. I had not realised when I said I hoped it was 'au revoir' rather than 'adieu' that there was another option: 'Back in a jiff' Bad man.

I have great nostalgia for Jessica Amanda Salmonsonās erstwhile influence on my work.

I got rid of my Facebook account so I'm afraid can't see all of this. It looks like only one person is posting, the admin, and she has turned off comments. Which seems a bit limiting. But I don't know how these groups work, so maybe only members can see certain things, and there is a lively discussion going on. I hope so, or it isn't much of a group.

"Anyone is welcome"..
"This group I imagine investigating, considering, honoring, discussing...."

Interesting to see that Salmonson is a devotee of the Great Goddess/Shekinah/Asherah/Matronit.

It's trendy to talk about patriarchal tyranny, so she reveals the opposite. It's very funny to read what she wrote about world's famous monuments.

Middoth, do you mean how many of the monuments are giant phallic symbols? That kind of thing has been in the news a lot since some tiresome squillionaire rode a giant penis up into outer space. A lot of people hoped he'd be incinerated in the re-entry conflagration but sadly, that did not occur. I hate an unhappy ending.
Sorry for the off-topic post.
cheers, Hel

Interesting image, Middoth. I'll have to look through Salmonson's posts further.
There's a pretty blatant reference there to the Tree of Life in Kabbalah--even an unlettered sot such as yours truly can see that.
cheers, Hel

That looks like Mary Garden in the original production of Pelleas et Melisande. There's a recording of her singing the short little Saints song with Debussy at the piano.

That Mary Garden recording is on YouTube and she sounds exquisitely like a ghost singing amid the ghostly static.
