If you don't like me you should just ignore. It's easier that way. I'll ignore you back and that way no one is unhappy.

I await Lord Horatio Ripper VC with bar, to complement me. Sorry for being a little tardy, I've been having trouble with that darned camel. It keeps following me around. Not even the Chicago zoo wanted to take it off my hands, so it is stabled next to my trusty steed (okay, actually my clapped out 1984 Mini Metro in a tasteful shade of rust) at Ripper Manor--just down the road from Totleigh Towers if you know the area. After your meeting with Flashman in the sewers of Chicago I was inspired to read Flashman and the Tiger. In the first tale in that collection 'The Road to Charring Cross', Flashy finds himself in a desperate swordfight in a salt mine and is losing. Then, along comes a slim, shapely figure, graceful, and an expert with a sword, though wearing a hood. My pulse quickened as I thought it was our Princess Tuvstarr. After the hooded figure disposes of the baddie, she pulls back the hood and reveals...well I don't want to spoil it for others, but was that actually you under an assumed name, Princess?

I know I said I wasn't coming back on this site, so please pretend I'm not here. You will never notice me. I like flowers, feel free to post virtual flowers here. Please post some for Swampirella too. I wouldn't have come back, but some monster posted an insult, and I felt I must react. When I say "some monster" we all know who I mean. FLOWERS! Fig A It suddenly dawned that, preposterous as it may seem, the "some monster" referred to above is me. Profuse apologies, milady! I bought a new second hand PC on Thursday (no expense spared, state of the art, Ā£40 on gumtree, etc), and - image my horror! - there is a glitch needs ironing out of the Princess Tuvstarr Compliment Generator Fig A. Needless to say, I contacted the seller to give them both barrels, but the so and so's have done a runner!

I have been thinking about this, and fear the problem lies with the computer itself. Ā£40 suggests you may have picked up one dating to before this century; the Generator is having trouble running due to the huge database of compliments to me that comes with it. To put it bluntly your museum piece lacks the storage capacity. Or to be even more blunt: It is rubbish. Please invest your life savings in a state of the art machine, so it can run perfectly, and make me happy on this forum. Thank you.

Currently upgrading the platform (?) from Windows 7 to 10 (it's taking an age), so not been able to retest compliment generator yet. I daren't go near the Random Cover Selector.

From the short: SYMPHONY IN BLACK 1935 Thank you. I was using my tablet and forgot that you have to open the description. I had a blonde moment, or was it strawberry blonde, or redhead? Anyway it was one of them!

if TV movie format is suitable for you, so why not. But as for me is better rewatching Artemis 81

Middoth, that's on my list of things to do--to watch Artemis 81 all the way through at some point. I'm a big fan of that author's Penda's Fen (which I should watch again because it was such a sophisticated, nuanced piece of theatre).
cheers, Hel

Is The Ray Bradbury Theatre worth watching? I found the episodes I watched quite disappointing and have not aged well, at least for me.
