The hardback is lovely. My only disappointment is the absence of Any Old Iron, a personal calendar favourite. Maybe it will turn up elsewhere?

One for the third collection! I have you fighting it out with Anna Taborska's Bloody Britain and Paul Finch's The Christmas You Deserve as favourite single-author collection of 2020 ... so far. As has been said, after a quiet year book-wise, things picked up something spectacular around mid-September and it's hard to keep up.
From the first, I set myself against "literature"; the story was the thing, and no amount of style could persuade me to select a story that lacked genuine, unadulterated horror. For those who wanted something high-brow there was plenty.
