J. B. Herman – Black Sabbat (Major Books, 1979, 240 p.) A tense, terrifying modern thriller of witchcraft and reincarnation …
For months prior to her move to the picturesque village of Harney, Vermont, Ryan Henley has been awakened nightly by a bizarre dream. She is pulled towards a lovely, aged oak tree, only to find when she stands beneath its branches she is in terrible, undeniable presence of evil.
When she discovers a painting depicting the tree of her dream in the home of a middle-aged medium, Ryan plunges into a search for the secret of her past encounters with the supernatural that will identify which of two men is her true lover in this life – and which is an agent of the Devil! This can be a occult novel with a lot of virgins which have to be rescued or a Romance novel with some supernatural elements. I don't know, I never read it and fear for the later. but the cover is a beauty. It is not credited which is a shame.
