Well, it only took Christopher Lee eight years to don his cloak again after Dracula (1958) so we think we're entirely justified in not having to explain the long distance/break/gap between issues of Bedabbled! Suffice to say, that Bedabbled!#5 'Keyhole Love' is out now and available via your local branch of Amazon here
Contents include reviews of Deadly Strangers, Corruption, Deep End, Goodbye Gemini, Groupie Girl and the bizarro pornographic film Diversions. Add to that articles on Alexis Kanner (Goodbye Gemini) and Skip Martin (Horror Hospital), plus an interview with Henry Normal, co-creator of perennial B! fave Dr Terrible's House of Horrible... all for £3.99. Our switch to Kindle Direct Printing (basically print-on-demand) was a big decision, but time is in limited supply these days and it ensures that the mag is always in print, and available more or less worldwide. Enjoy, spread the word and keep your fingers crossed that #6 will be published sooner!
From the first, I set myself against "literature"; the story was the thing, and no amount of style could persuade me to select a story that lacked genuine, unadulterated horror. For those who wanted something high-brow there was plenty.
Skip Martin should have had higher billing in Horror Hospital, a not-so-guilty pleasure here. It would seem that some padding was needed to get the film out to the desired or commissioned 90 minute running time, and some of Martin's improvisatory work in scenes where he was the only actor on camera made what would have been rather dull stretches brilliantly funny.
The mag is not really my flagon of mead, but I'm glad to hear that it's back in business.
