Anna's story was very good imo. Just right for last night's late reading. Thank you.
A welcome return for Nigel, and what a fun little story, definitely a 70s Amicus vibe to it as Dem mentioned. Thanks to Nigel and Chrissie.

Day twenty-two An eldrich tale of horror off the Cornish coastChrissie Demant A recent story by veteran author and publisher David A. Riley, this one revived from Tickety Boo's The Third Spectral Book of Horror, "which I think sank without trace very quickly." An undeserved fate for sure if Boat Trip is typical of the whole.

An undeserved fate for sure if Boat Trip is typical of the whole. I bought a copy, though I haven't read it yet. It looks hopeful to me and, yes, that would be an undeserved fate indeed.

Day twenty-oneChrissie Demant Nigel Taylor returns from the grave with a second mischievous macabre fable. As with the magical Mystery Tour, there's a dash of a certain Amicus horror production about this one ... Support your local Worlds of Strangeness. com! A fun read; it was great to read more by Nigel Taylor!

It wouldn't be Christmas without a tale from David and I think Boat Trip was a bit of a corker. I'm not the biggest fan of Lovecraft, but I really enjoyed that one. Who can resist bad-*ss priests with guns? Great stuff! Thanks to David and Chrissie.

What a great story and illustration, thanks David & Chrissie! I'd like to see it expanded into a full-length book (hint hint) and even better, "Boat Trip: The Movie". I'll put the Third Spectral Book of Horror Stories on my to-buy list....

A very well written story and a superb illustration.

The scariest thing is that NINE YEARS have elapsed since the first ... Day twenty-three Christmas in Chilminster .... Chrissie Demant We're obscenely proud and excited to feature a particularly ghoulish offering by the inimitable Lord John Llewellyn Probert. In the words of the great man "[This story] has never seen the light of day owing to its grottiness. .. I hope it raises a smile as well as a touch of nausea in some of the Vaulters if you are desperate enough to include it." Who could possibly resist? Bless you, your worship!

Ghoulish is, indeed, the word, but deliciously ghoulish, with some nice touches of black humour. As usual from JLP, highly enjoyable and memorable. Many thanks to the author and to Chrissie.

Almost there .... Day twenty-fourChrissie Demant Wanted to end this on something bright, cheery and festive, but luckily we don't get sent junk like that so here's the next best thing - a Christmas cracker from Franklin Marsh, Britain's Pharaoh of the fiendish. If the little ones demand a bedtime story tonight, we reckon this should do the trick. So ends VAC #9: Everybody's Happy Nowdays .... or does it???
Because .... [stay tuned]

Another great story; let's just cross our fingers that the premise is not true!

Because .... [stay tuned] Will read the story as soon as I have finished pre-Christmas cooking and tidying up (will I ever finish the latter? I wonder, doubtfully), but Chrissie's Santa is brilliant. Proper Vault of Evil seasonal!

A suitably fiendish festive story from Franklin in his own distinctive style. I really liked the way Santa's attitude changed so quickly and the sinister Rudolf. Great stuff and thanks to the author and Chrissie.

Six Strings that drew bloodChrissie Demant .... to bury this lump of crow bait, a macabre Crime for Christmas original from the mysterious Drew Salzen, exposing the rotting underbelly of groovy rock & pop industry. Readers of a certain musical disposition are likely to recognise the six foot hippie chic and the "dodgy looking geezers in a band." Thank you, Mr. Salzen! Short of anyone providing a black punchline, that's it. We sure hope you enjoyed the show. Sincere thanks to all the contributors living, dead, 50/50 who gave so generously of their time and talent to make it happen (admittedly, the resolutely dead contingent didn't have that much say in the matter).
