The cover of the 1993 Palace Corbie above is interesting in the light of later events: 'A magazine of personal terror( ism)'? Anyway, I'm having another short rest to allow other contributors and comments to this thread. Please don't forget the Ark's VAMPY CREW thread!

I was just thinking that's a wonderful cover for that issue of Twisted, and then I saw it was Allen K. He's a brilliant artist.

I'm building a raft out of Anne Rice's The Witching Hour, Des - I knew it would come in useful for something - so if you could see your way to parking the Ark off the coast of our Godforsaken Polynesian island I'd be obliged .... Just the one for the time being. Stephen Jones & David A. Sutton (eds.) - Fantasy Tales # 16 (Winter, 1986) J. K. Potter: Eyeteeth Dennis Etchison - The Olympic Runner The search for her daughter took her deeper into a world of confusion Karl Edward Wagner - Manly Wade Wellman: A tribute to the Weird Tales veteran Manly Wade Wellman - The White Road (verse) Richard Christian Matheson - Red He had to go back and collect it all Peter Tremayne - The Singing Stone They discovered a key which would unlock the secrets of the Universe Hugh B. Cave - After The Funeral Bizarre revelations in an attic David Case - Twins They were joined by a supernatural force Josephs Sherman - Zerail Could the enchantress trust her barbarian apprentice? Christina Kiplinger - Eradication's Rise (verse) George A. McIntyre - Our Christmas Spirit A Yuletide surprise awaits an unlucky family Samantha Lee - Bon Appetit on other worlds, make sure you read the menu carefully! The Cauldron: Editorial news and our readers express their opinions If you're especially unfortunate, I might have more mindless drivel to post about this at a later date as it's a storming issue. The return from the wilderness of David Case is cause for celebration alone but there's also a modern classic (I mean it, maaan) from Richard Christian Matheson - all two pages of it. Then there's shudder pulp veteran Hugh B. Cave's revelation of what happened After The Funeral when the deceased Reverend's son stumbled upon his fanatical father's secret porno stash - and far, far worse. I don't recall the Tremayne and Etchison stories offhand but I'm sure they were tops. That Aberrations cover is a bit good, BTW.

if you could see your way to parking the Ark off the coast of our Godforsaken Polynesian island I'd be obliged .... 'Parking the Ark' is a common uncouth expression where I live in Clacton. And it's nothing to do with Thames Barges! des (Winter) Chills'Dementia 13' & 'Aklo'Vampy Crew
