They're pairs of pairs. Sometimes they are still looking for their co-pair before entering. This is reminiscent of the 'waking dream' finale of my 'The Tenacity of Feathers'. PS: Based on the terms I set myself at the start, I don't think there are all that many more to go into the Ark from me.  |

You might be nearly alone but certainly not unappreciated. I always have a look at the ark. Its like a world history by the Indians instead of Columbus.

Sometimes its the flash of humour that gets you. 'The best value since salt' on the cover of Read Me. I love the title of that mag and the advert was brilliant. Who wouldn't have bought that. I wonder

Besides, I think you've posted almost everything I'd have posted too, Des. You're definitely not alone as far as followers of the thread are concerned. It was your link to here from the BFS forum which got me here in the first place, and I've been following the thread avidly ever since. It'll be a shame when you stop, but I guess you deserve a rest by now! By the way, as a Doctor Who fan it was interesting to see that Jon Pertwee cover on a mag a few posts up the thread (sorry - can't recall the name of it now). |

I think I may have up to 40 yet to do before I reach my target based on the criteria below: I guesstimate that I have reached about HALFWAY in the covers I'm likely to post here, taking into account that the only covers I'm showing are from mags that are:
(1) at least genre-related, and
(2) capable of an at least reasonably netogenic cover, and
(3) published up to 2000, and
(4) contributor copies of DFL, and
(5) the sole representatives of each mag title (for example among the last batch, I have seven different contributor copies of IMELOD).
des A horrifying thought: I have lots of mags I will not have shown, eg: my contributor mags of which I have multiple editions - plus many many non-contributor mags I haven't looked at for this purpose!! |
