Most, if not all of the above issues are available on Archive Org (just type 'World Of Horror' in the search box). None of the film articles are credited. 'Trapped By Thirst-Crazed Baboons In The Arizona Desert' and 'Trapped 76 Days On "Crocodile Island"' look as though they were swiped direct from a Men's Adventure pulp.

I missed all this World of Horror excitement when Dem posted it. I've got the nine issues bound up and it's great stuff, according to the ads the same crowd who brought us Witchcraft magazine, and a few others. Brian Netscher, credited as staff photographer in WOH, was certainly involved in the Black Magic'sploitation mag, New Witchcraft and sister publication, Mystic. James, if you get the chance, can you confirm the third fiction title in #1. Another of the Men's Adventure reprints (?)/lookalikes?

Ooh, Witchcraft! I'm salivating! Thanks, James!
Love the drawing but I can live without the ladies undergarments, erection creams et al.

It ( New Witchcraft) is an interesting read for sure. Format is virtually identical to World Of Horror, even the contents page is a variation of the WOH template. Three-man staff: Brian Netscher (Ed.), Hugh Bryant (Art Director), Martin Liles (Production Manager). Color painting reproduced below accompanies Robert Bloch's The Tchen-Lam's Vengeance - wonder if he even knew they were running it?

Great Jim Pitts illustration there. I don't think I have ever seen it before.

Great Jim Pitts illustration there. I don't think I have ever seen it before. ... which makes me wonder if Jim provided artwork for earlier issues of Witchcraft/ New Witchcraft, and possibly the rest of the Dallruth publications? From the line in the New Occult ad James has provided - "Also includes two gripping tales of the supernatural" - suggests they all ran short supernatural horror fiction.

I don't think so. If this is the story I think, it is quite well chosen, though.
Great magazines. All I have are a few issues of The Twilight Zone and the complete - I think - run of Fear.
