This looks quite promising - or it did until I watched the little video and discovered that a trilogy is planned. The Giant Under the Snow is not exactly a long book! www.thegiantunderthesnow.com/index.htm

Perhaps the plan is to use the 1989 sequel book Ride the Wind as well as the original novel?

I'd never heard of the book. The plot outline sounds so much like The Weirdstone of Brisingamen. According to the sections on the film in this entry, the people involved have been struggling to raise the money to get it off the ground since 2015. In the world of indie film, that's not all that long--it took Jim Jarmusch 8 or 9 years to raise the money for Only Lovers Left Alive and then another 2 or 3 years to secure distribution for the completed film. So... know any good spells?? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Giant_Under_The_Snowcheers, H.
