The "selfie elephant crushing horror" is strangely consoling since I keep wondering whether anyone can be as wilfully stupid and ignorant as so many Americans seem to be.

They all have a ring of urban legend about them, even if they are true. Just a shame - from our POV if not the unnamed Chinese girl's - that the cockroach didn't store an ootheca in there. Or did she?
