Gruesome. Were these the things they tried to cure I quote "female hysteria" with in Victorian times? Whatever do you mean?
I read somewhere that Victorian doctors gave their female patients a "massage" to cure her so-called "female hysteria". I can't remember the source unfortunately, if this is nonsense or valid. But these electro tools look like a vibrator.

I have also heard this, and I am pretty sure that is true. Vibrating chairs were also quite popular.
