This is hilarious, a bit like the guy on YBHS XXII transported to a jungle! Didn't know Target had reprinted the "Alfred Hitchcock" stuff. Great find, thanks! Read quite a lot of it on the coach back to London that night, and will likely give book own thread as it's an ... interesting selection. The shop truly is more chaotic than ever. Seems those few who dare enter the premises were getting the hang of eventually finding what they were looking for, so he's scrambled everything anew. Premature burial beneath book avalanche now very real prospect. Sadly, in-house wasp nest evidently a thing of the past (either that, or it's since been obscured by junk). Vault really should campaign to slap a preservation order on the place. A certain element among the locals would so love us for it.

Posters, DVDs, Books at 11 Queens Rd, Westbourne no longer has set hours of business. If you're planning a visit, phone or text Gerry on 07502 018 560, and he'll open for you (try and give him decent notice). I recently read PSYCHO for the first time! That is how behind on my reading I am. I set aside that copy on previous visit last June — fatal error when you're pressed for time, as once you put something down in that place, you're not going to find it again. Had written it off as one that wasn't meant to be. Next time I'm thinking of bringing along a scythe, cut a path through to the magazines, newspapers and God only knows what else is festering mid-shop.
