Now this looks exciting! Thanks to @atters1000 for the alert! We're thrilled to announce that Bad Bat's next theatre production will be The Ghost Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore.
Five people are invited to a fancy dress party on a vintage steam train. The guests were told come in costume as their favourite monster... and every monster has a story to tell.
The Ghost Train Doesn't Stop Here Anymore is a new portmanteau horror play, bringing to the theatre the flavour of vintage Amicus anthologies like Tales from the Crypt and Dr Terror’s House of Horrors. With segments written by acclaimed authors Christopher Fowler, Stephen Gallagher, Kim Newman, Robert Shearman, Lynda E. Rucker and Lisa Tuttle ... wraparound story by director Sean Hogan.
Produced by Ellen Gallagher and Steve Jordan for Bad Bat Productions.
The show will debut at the Tristan Bates Theatre in Covent Garden, and will run 7 - 19 March 2016, Monday to Saturday. Tickets £15 / £13 concessions.Contact: Bad Bat

I attended and enjoyed Sean Hogan's last horror play, THE HALLOWE'EN SESSIONS, with segments by Kim Newman, Anne Billson etc., a couple of years back. He's got a pretty impressive list of writers on board for THE GHOST TRAIN DOESN'T STOP HERE ANYMORE, so I'll almost certainly be going along to this one.

At the moment York's Theatre Royal is undergoing a huge refurbishment, so it's moved temporarily to the National Railway Museum nearby. They've set up a temporary auditorium and have done plays featuring real steam locos - "The Railway Children" was the obvious one, but there have been several others. This looks like it would do perfectly there...

Thought you'd be interested, Dr. Proof. Looks unmissable doesn't it? Lovely atmospheric poster art, too.

I saw this on Chris Fowler's Site earlier this week and didn't think to post it. Mea Culpa. I'm a big Fowler fan, especially his Bryant and May series. I tried reading his Spanky on the bus into work but couldn't take the embarrassment of THAT cover. Reading it under the bedclothes aroused suspicion, too.

I attended this last night. Good fun, with Robert Shearman and Lynda Rucker's segments being the standouts. I'd urge you to go, but last night marked the end of the run! As an aside, on the way there my wife and I paid a visit to 30th Century Comics in Putney. As well as an amazing range of vintage British comics, they also have a very good selection of second-hand 60s/70s sci-fi and horror paperbacks, very reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you're in that neck of the woods.

Am planning a visit to 30th Century Comics next one day travel card so will let you know how it goes. Glad you enjoyed Ghost Train.
