Hello from Spain, how're you? I'm reading Shudder Pulps and Horror novels/short stories from mid 20's to 50's that have been adapted to films, as Spurs, The Bat, The Thought-Monster, The Ghoul, The Mask of Fu Manchu, The Magic Island, Black Moon, The Bagheeta, The Devil Rides Out,Burn, Witch, Burn!, I'm Dangerous Tonight, The Graveyard Rats, etc. Which other books would you recommend me to read? Thanks in advance!

Richard Connell's The Most Dangerous Game aka "The Hounds of Zaroff" Carl Stephenson's Leiningen Versus The Ants (filmed as The Naked Jungle) George Langelaan's The Fly (first published in 1958, so maybe that's a bit too late?) John W. Campbell Who Goes There? (The Thing, The Thing From Another World, etc.)

Frank King's The Ghoul. Have never seen a copy, but said to be the inspiration for both the Karloff film and What A Carve Up!

Cornell Woolrich's Black Alibi, which became The Leopard Man.
