I am curious as to why four of the originals were dropped. Maybe they can be secured for the 2016 advent calendar? Regardless, I am glad that I finally get to read (most of) this book. Mr. Happy Hi Mr Happy. As you know, but others might not, the Septimus Dale story can be found in Pan Horror 4, and Basil Copper's Camera Obscura in Pan Horror 6, which leaves us with the Dixon, Hill, Kiplinger and Wainer originals. From Mr. Mains' introduction. As to the Vault Advent Calendar, if you want a taster for the paperback edition, Mr. Mains kindly donated Herbert Van Thal's The Mask to our 2014 offering. As to running the lost stories, they'd have to be donated first, and if an author has turned down an opportunity to feature in a paying anthology ...

I ordered one. Mostly because of the Van Thal bio. This is a very well done package. Lots of infos on the history of the PAN series. This must have been very interesting times for writers and editors. Hard to believe that they sold that many books.

The original-to-paperback story is certainly horrible.
Samantha Lee - Iron Maiden: "Better get used to it, baby. Plenty more where that came from." Burlesque dancer Morgana Fe, abused in childhood and messed up for life as a result, extracts eye-watering revenge on a rapist.
A story that might have been written for the Hot Blood series. To read this is to never again risk sex without an armour plated condom.
