Magus (Castleford, West Yorkshire, 199?) A book catalogue - fanzine hybrid, wares on offer include magical incense, tarot cards, amulets, talismen, occult jewellery and an invitation to sign the Magus Register of Occultists, a free service for anyone interested in contacting other occultists. "Most practicing witches, Magicians, and occultists tends to be secretive about their beliefs, rarely revealing them, even to their closest friends and colleagues, they fear, quite rightly, the ridicule and rejection this will bring, even in this supposed enlightened society."

I wonder how luxurious that "goth photos" book really was.

I wonder how luxurious that "goth photos" book really was. It's very lovely, actually: Gothic Rock. Mick is a gifted photographer, the bands & fans look beautiful/ hideous depending on your POV, and the book spawned at least two tidy 2XCD compilation albums - plus an ambitious follow up, The Hex Files.

I see. I was not convinced by the marketing.

I see. I was not convinced by the marketing. The handwritten ad went to the real raggy arsed zines. Mr. M. prepared a second one for the more, ah, upmarket publications.

More ephemera. Every flyer tells a story. From Autumn 1989 Tales of the Dead: Most likely sometime during the 'nineties.

I like the Torture Garden claim - "Mixed Music from Medieval to Industrial". But I bet the DJ still had to suffer pissed-up twats demanding they play "Stairway to Heaven"...

Those are all charming. I particularly like the drawing of Circe with a couple of her "guests" illustrating the Amazons announcement.
cheers, H.

"Skin Flick Productions"? For real?
Those are well done, even the art has a certain flair.

Mid to late 'nineties. The So.und - Screaming Lord Sutch pairing is deliberate as they struck me as kindred spirits. The Railway Hotel homecoming gig proved one of Dave Sutch's last. The Railway since burned down in "mysterious" circumstances.
