Hi. I am a published Kindle book author - genre is, naturally, ghost and horror books - and was wondering what the board's policy is on mentioning the url of books and website. I mean, as much as I want to mention my book to all the horror fans here, I would not want to be accused of spamming.
Please let me know your policy on giving urls.
Thanks Truegho UK Kindle Author and Webmaster

You asked us the same thing - twice - not three days ago. The policy has not changed in the meantime and is unlikely to do so in the foreseeable future.

As an ardent fan of the Pan Book of Horror Stories, and as a published horror writer myself, I have paid my own little homage to these wonderful books by writing my own book of short fiction, entitled HORROR STORIES, which is now available on Amazon Kindle. However, I am unsure whether or not I am permitted to mention the url leading to my Amazon book page, as I don't want to run the risk of spamming. Can somebody please enlighten me on this? truegho www.wirralwriter.co.uk

As a lifelong fan of the Pan Book of Horror Stories, and being a writer of creepy fiction myself, I thought I would pay my own little homage to these wonderful books in the form of my horror fiction collection, HORROR STORIES, which I have published on Amazon Kindle. Here is the blurb for my book:
Horror Stories is a new collection of fright fiction by Alan Toner, author of the True Ghost Stories series. Twelve terrifying tales covering all aspects of the horror genre - from vampires to demons to ghosts - guaranteed to chill your blood and give you many a sleepless night!
CHAMBER OF HORRORS - Sinister entities lurk within the bowels of a wax museum . . . much to the horror of a curator, who finds himself locked in there overnight.
BEACH BABE - A single, romance-seeking guy encounters a mysterious blonde beauty whilst on holiday . . . and pays a terrifying price for his obsession.
TURNING THE TABLES - A modern-day Dr Frankenstein meets with a gruesome fate when he tries to emulate the notorious mad scientist.
THE MOUSE - An old widow is plagued by rodent in her new home. But is there more to this creature than meets the eye?
These are just a few examples of the kind of terror tales you will find in this collection.
If you love reading The Pan Book of Horror Stories and The Year's Best New Horror, then you are sure to enjoy reading this spine-chilling collection.
Am I allowed to mention the url to the Amazon sales page for my book? I ask this because I would not want to run the risk of being accused of spamming.

Being a lifelong fan of the Pan Books of Horror, and being a published horror writer myself, I am keeping up the great memories and tradition of the Pan books by starting my own series of books featuring my own short horror fiction. To date, I have published two volumes of my HORROR STORIES series, and am currently working on the third. I think that today's horror is regrettably lacking in the simple, good-old-fashioned, twist-in-tale kind of horror tale we all used to love so much, forsaking that basic enjoyment for excessive psychological, complicated stories which they pass over as "horror fiction". Well, to be honest, the last thing I want to do when I read a horror story is to be mentally bogged down with all sorts of intellectual, puzzling prose, and left scratching my head at the end, thinking: What the hell was THAT all about? Where was the horror? When I write a new horror story to include in my books, I always set out with sole aim of entertaining my readers, whether I am writing about a vampire, a ghost or any other horror character. I believe that a horror story should be what it purports to be: a HORROR story. It can do without all this trendy philosophising rubbish, which severely detracts from a horror story's entertainment value, and sometimes even makes such a story virtually unrecognisable as a horror story. I long for the day that the Pan Book of Horror Stories returns. Until then, I shall certainly keep up the tradition of those wonderful books with my own work. I hope other modern-day horror writers will echo my sentiments. Alan T Horror Writer www.wirralwriter.co.uk

I am a published horror author and was wondering what your policy is on an author promoting their work on this forum. I ask this because I would not want to run the risk of spamming.
Thank you, guys.

Very sorry about the repeated post. I forgot about that, as I hadn't been on the forums for a while. It won't happen again.
